Quality of network economics optimisation using service level agreement modelling
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper analyses Q1 the relationships Q2 between different service level agreement (SLA) components, that is, the different types of quality metrics employed by infrastructure and service providers. We propose that the quality of network economics (QoNE) be used to evaluate the quality of a network path for a given SLA model. Our evaluation indicates the usefulness of the QoNE metric, and it provides a new mechanism for the networking community to address network design problems when incorporating new challenges, such as the Internet of Things. We show how the proposed model can be implemented in software-defined network architecture applicable to networking technologies that include the interconnection of autonomous systems. A Generic Service Model for QoS Management Service Management in Next Generation Network
We introduce a generic service model aiming at ensuring Quality of Service management. This modelling approach has been proposed by the Next Generation Network and Service Management project. A fairly high integration level of the tools has been reached using object-oriented paradigm and Model Driven Interoperability approach. We provide an example of Quality of Service management through a Ser...
متن کاملModelling the Dynamics of Human Resources Capacity in Health Care Services A Case Study of Khatam-al-Anbia Hospital of Mashhad
Background: In service organizations such as hospitals, human resources (HR) play a key role in the quality of service delivery. Lack of a systemic attitude in terms of system dynamics, HR planning have been somewhat distant from reality. In order to solve such a problem, this study aimed to modeling the dynamics of human resources capacity management system in healthcare services. Material...
متن کاملEmergency department resource optimisation for improved performance: a review
Emergency departments (EDs) have been becoming increasingly congested due to the combined impacts of growing demand, access block and increased clinical capability of the EDs. This congestion has known to have adverse impacts on the performance of the healthcare services. Attempts to overcome with this challenge have focussed largely on the demand management and the application of system wide p...
متن کاملMODELLING AND ANALYSIS OF A DISCRETE-TIME PRIORITY QUEUING COMPUTER NETWORK WITH PRIORITY JUMPS USING PROBABILITY GENERATING FUNCTIONS
Priority queues have a great importance in the study of computer communication networks in which different types of traffic require different quality of service standards. The discrete-time non-preemptive priority queuing model with priority jumps is proposed in this paper. On the basis of probability generating functions mean system contents and mean queuing delay characteristics are obtained....
متن کاملSLA-Driven Flexible Bandwidth Reservation Negotiation Schemes for QoS Aware IP Networks
We present a generic Service Level Agreement (SLA)-driven service provisioning architecture, which enables dynamic and flexible bandwidth reservation schemes on a per-user or a per-application basis. Various session level SLA negotiation schemes involving bandwidth allocation, service start time and service duration parameters are introduced and analysed. The results show that these negotiation...
